Has it been 3 months??? Guess it's time to update.

Hey guys!!! Sorry, I know I see most of you on facebook so I rarely update my blog anymore. Things have been great here, the house is to be closed on in less than two weeks. The kids are in their new school and loving it!! They actually get upset when they can't go. Ethan and Addison have changed into completely different kids over the summer, and I am back in school fulltime.
I am going to just put up pictures and go from there, but I wanted to let you guys know that I am chaning my pat-a-cakes blog to a food allergy recipe website. I hope to use it to help people find recipes and products for their kids and maybe some answers for parent's who are just starting out with the food allergy thing. I know it took me about 6 months to feed Ethan anything other than fruit, meat or rice...I wish I had a central website to locate all the information I needed. So check it out it should be changing in the next couple of weeks!
Uncle Brian and Aunt Nikki visiting!
New Shoes for school
Happy Birthday Ethan and Addison!!

Picturepalooza!

According to my sister Kim, "your blog sucks". Apparently I am not updating enough for her. So I mean yes I haven't updated since March, and yes it's June, and oh yes lots of things have happened in between...maybe she has a point.
So I am updating you. Most of the things I want to tell you about have pictures but a a couple do not, so I will update you without (gasp) pictures.
I believe I have already told you I went back to school. Well I finished the semester and did a great job!!! I even made the President's List:) (no thanks to Mr. Hertl) I took the summer off but will be back in August. The kids also start back in August and this brings me to my first bittersweet picture. Ethan finished his school program at Trinity. He is technically old enough to go to Kindergarten in the fall, but we are going to hold him back a year. VERY SADLY Trinity does not have a 5k program or we would be back there where we are so loved and where we love them so much, instead we are going to United Methodist Hernando. They have a 5 day week half day program and a MDO program for Addison so the kids can attend.

Ethan had lots of trouble keeping the cap on. It just kept sliding off. I will say that he was the most entertaining and sweet boy there! He was so excited to see us as they marched in singing a song about Kindergarten. He kept talking to Jason, me and my mom from the stage. He told us he loved us!

Addison's Involvement in the end of the year program. She had the greatest teachers! They were Ethan's 1st teachers and they have the best hearts.

Ethan and Joncarlo. They have been in the same class since their first class. (minus the time in ATL) It was a sweet shot of them sitting together after they received their diplomas.

Okay the rest I am going to try to do chronologically as the events happened.

WE PUT A CONTRACT ON A HOUSE!!!!
Okay well the house isn't actually there yet, but it will be soon. We got a lot in by my sister's house and are building. SO when all my friends want to come in town we will have plenty of room for you. (Erin, Christin, Nikki...the rest of you) The pics below are the same house built in another subdivision, but it is the same floor plan

Do you want to see the rest? HMMM?
Well I guess that means you have to come and visit.

Okay these are just cute pics of Addie! It's about to get Ethan heavy.

Here is the shot of us at the Doctor's office. They both had to have their skin looked at, and they had to wear paper "dresses". Ethan was not happy about it.

And our Biggest NEWS! WE got to go to Disney World. YAY!! Ok well it was just Ethan and I and then My Lisa and her son Jakob. It was a weird turn of events that led us to booking but it helped that I got in free on my birthday, that my mom would be there for a work seminar, and that we had hotel points to use. SO when no family could come with us, I turned to Lisa and she came through. We had a wonderful time. Lots of fun and some crazy times. It was my first time to go, I was very impressed. It is so clean, organized, and well staffed. They really want it to be magical and it was. It is a huge memory I will have of getting to go with Ethan and spending a few days with just him. He loved splash mountain and rode it the most. I am hoping that next April we can take Addison and Lisa's daughter Anna. It was also a time of lots of firsts for Ethan, Plane, boat, roller coasters, Disney, Buses, and eating in fun restaurants. They were great about his food allergies, all the places sent a chef out to talk to us about what he could eat and what he liked. Lisa was great to go with, we are so comfortable around each other and are both pretty laid back so it worked out really well. I know this post is getting really long so if you want to hear our crazy bus story let me know and I will tell you.

Mickey here we come!

WE ARE CRAZIES!

So I have a few more topics I want to cover and some video to put up. BUT it will have to be next time!

Funny stories and random videos and pics

We have been cooped! Ethan, Addison and all have had the croup and pink eye. I thought we were doing pretty good. We went like 7 weeks without getting sick, so this one took us by surprise. We have been in the house since Tuesday. Saturday however, my mom and dad came and got Ethan because he was very upset that we missed a birthday party. They just took him to their house and to Jay's basketball game. Last night while I was reading Ethan a story, he stops me and tells me and we have a little converstation, it goes something like this.
Ethan: Do you know what Nini called Pappy today?
Me: No (kinda cringing)
Ethan: She called him a Steve Blount!
Me: uncontollable laughter
Ethan: Said yeah that's what she says when she is mad!
So we finish our books and I am about to walk out the door when Ethan has an outburst because he doesn't want to go to bed. I tell him it's night time and everyone is asleep and he needs to be too. He sits up in his bed and says. You are a Steve Blount!!!! and I mean it. I laughed at him and told him he was probably right, I am just like Steve Blount!

Here are some pics and video that you might have seen on my facebook page, but I am reposting here for those crazies that don't have facebook!

Valentines Day

So we have been getting ready for Valentines day around here for about a week. I got Ethan and Addison some cards for their classes and I have been baking cookies and cupcakes for their friends. This morning is the class party's! Ethan comes and gets in bed with me and starts handing out his cards to me and telling me who each card belongs to. We get up and start getting ready and every three minutes he asks me, "can we go to school now?".
Me: Are you ready for Valentine's Day?
Ethan: Yes!...what is it again?
Me: The day you tell people you love them
Ethan: (crickets) maybe I am not ready then.

I laughed so hard. I told him he doesn't have to tell anyone that if he doesn't want to. He said I just want to deliver the cards!
